“363 George Street is a consummate work of architectural art. It demonstrates that on difficult and complex development sites it is possible both to fulfil the demands of rigorous commercial brief and to contribute to the public realm.”

NSW Government Architect

363 George Street Development is on a complex CBD site of previous developments with heritage listed elements and more recent stratum sub-divisions that is becoming typical of Sydney’s development sites. It includes a major portion of the city block bounded by George, King, York and Barrack Streets.

Our design competition winning strategy was to elevate the 35-storey office tower to open-up and bring light into the heritage streetscape base. A recent infill development from the 1990’s was demolished, showing how ‘less’ can bring greater commercial value and significant contribution to the public realm.
