Matthew Morel

Matthew has diverse expertise, developed over 25 years of architectural practice, across a range of prominent projects and awarded buildings.

He recently led the 1 Elizabeth – Martin Place Metro North Tower and the Sydney Opera House Strategic Building Plan Update, alongside the renewal of Sydney’s first skyscraper. His completed projects encompass hotels, multi-residential developments, city-making masterplans, and the award-winning 50 Martin Place, which revitalised one of Sydney’s most significant heritage bank buildings to serve as Macquarie Bank’s global headquarters.

All of Matthew’s work and approach to practice embody strong analysis of brief and context, clear communication, creative collaboration, and innovative design.
