Matteo Salval
NSW Architect 9536

Matteo developed his expertise internationally and in Australia across diverse sectors and scales, with a particular focus on renewals in heritage contexts. Recent work includes the renewal of 343 George Street, logistics facilities for the City of Canada Bay Council, and the redesign of Sydney Square — one of the city’s most significant urban public spaces.

Matteo believes the best architecture is based on the understanding of place, and is realised through strong technical skills, material knowledge and precise detailing. Completed projects include multi-residential, commercial and integrated transport buildings, cultural and education institutions and the Sulman Medal winning Anzac Memorial Centenary Project – the extension of one of Sydney’s most significant heritage landmarks.
