Parramatta Square, by Walker Corporation and the City of Parramatta, has won the 2024 UDIA NSW & Urban Property Group Award of Excellence in Urban Renewal.
In 2012, JPW began work with the City of Parramatta to develop the urban design principles for the Parramatta Square precinct, prior to winning an open international design competition for the first of stage of development.
Over the next 10 years, JPW would work with Walker Corporation to develop and implement the precinct masterplan, including the design of three distinct buildings, and collaborate with the City of Parramatta and other design practices to integrate the design of public spaces and buildings into the development. The precinct has emerged as the civic heart of Parramatta and Greater Sydney.
Congratulations to Walker Corporation, the City of Parramatta Council and the broader project team on receiving this award, and the continued recognition of Parramatta Square in establishing new benchmarks for urban renewal, placemaking, and sustainability.
