Festival Tower received a Commendation in Commercial Architecture at the SA Architecture Awards
A key component of the long-term renewal of Festival Plaza in Adelaide, the project brings together high-quality workplace, public realm improvements and strong environmental performance. Positioned at the intersection of the city’s cultural, governmental and transport infrastructure, the tower helps extend activity in the precinct, contributing to a more active and connected civic environment.
At ground level, Festival Tower is shaped by a generous and permeable public realm, including a publicly accessible through-site link connecting Station Road and King William Road, retail activation to all frontages, and a triple-height glazed loggia that functions as a civic room within the city. Above, the tower provides A Grade commercial space, with flexible floorplates designed to support a wide range of workplace formats.
Expertly delivered by Built, the project sets a strong benchmark for sustainable commercial development in Adelaide as the city’s tallest 100% electric building, achieving a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating, a 5.5 Star NABERS Energy rating, a 4 Star NABERS Water rating, and Gold WELL certification.
Congratulations to Walker Corporation, Built and the broader project team on this recognition.
