The JPW Team recently visited the Cowper Street Social Housing Project site, which we designed using Cross Laminated Timber construction. It was great to see the CLT panels from XLAM Australia’s factory coming together rapidly onsite.
The use of CLT brings many significant sustainability advantages from lower embodied carbon footprint to quicker on-site construction and reduced waste. These panels are made from a local renewable source of timber harvested in the state forests around Tumbarumba.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging – as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work; and the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation on whose land our Studio is located.
