Barangaroo Reserve: A Decade of Transformation

A decade on, Barangaroo Reserve continues to demonstrate the power of design to restore, reconnect, and transform Sydney’s harbour edge.

Designed by PWP Landscape Architecture in association with JPW, the project respects Country while reshaping a former industrial site into a place for people, nature, and culture. The people of Sydney and visitors to the city have embraced the Reserve, explored its vast open space, and frequented its remarkable and ever-changing program of events and recreational possibilities.

Our involvement across the precinct has provided us with a deep understanding of Barangaroo’s history, complexity, and how its various components work together to form one of Sydney’s most vital precincts. That knowledge continues to shape our understanding of this remarkable site and the opportunities it continues to offer.
