A deeper dive with JPW and Arup

Our second exchange with Arup built on the momentum of our first session — this time through two project presentations that allowed for a deeper dive into shared challenges and opportunities.

Arup’s Tristram Carfrae reflected on the history of Antoni Gaudí’s extraordinary Sagrada Família before describing the step change in construction that Arup has contributed to over the past decade.

JPW’s Daniel Wainwright presented our Cowper Street Social Housing project, highlighting the use of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and fully electrified building systems to deliver future-focused living within a dynamic, connected urban fabric.

Thank you to Janine Pickering and Matteo Salval for coordinating, and to the Arup team for their openness and collaboration. Sessions like this strengthen the way we learn from one another and shape better outcomes together.

JPW acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country and honours their continuing connection to lands, waters, skies, and communities.

We offer our respect to Elders past and those present – as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work.
