A new Civic Heart for Sydney, Town Hall Square

Sydney’s new Town Hall Square is set to transform how people gather, move and connect in the heart of the CBD.

Designed by JPW in collaboration with ASPECT Studios for the City of Sydney, the new public plaza will create a generous, welcoming civic space connecting Town Hall, George Street and the surrounding city.

With native trees, seating, water elements and flexible spaces for events, markets, festivals and everyday life, the square will become a new destination for Sydney — a place to gather and celebrate.

We’re proud to be contributing to this once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a new civic heart for the City.
